I don't know about you, but I'm a Dunkin Donuts loyalist. I come from a family of coffee drinkers and when my parents deemed me old enough to drink the drink, the first cup I enjoyed outside of my home was at a Dunkin Donuts. There are moments in life that you'll never forget and for most people, those moments include their first date, their first kiss, their first time behind the wheel. My first time at Dunkin Donuts sits right up there with my special "firsts" memories.

If you're a lover of all things Dunkin Donuts, you're going to be in for a little surprise the next time you pop in for a visit. Dunkin Donuts has dropped 10% of their menu items in an effort to streamline the experience for customers by offering more accurate and faster service.

Dunkin Donut's senior vice president of operations strategy and supply chain, Chris Fuqua, spoke to the Boston Herald and explained the change,

Franchisees have been asking for something like this for quite some time. They’re facing challenges with labor, and we’re always looking to maximize profitability for franchisees. If you can remove products that are more difficult to make or ... consumers aren’t asking for as much, you can make the stores easier to work in, and you can positively impact their (profit and loss statement).

According to Fox News, these are the 10 items that Dunkin Donuts has removed from their menu are:

• Turkey Cheddar Bacon Sandwich
• Ham & Cheddar Sandwich
• Tuna Salad Sandwich
• Chicken Salad Sandwich
• Big N’ Toasted Breakfast Sandwich
• Angus Steak & Egg Breakfast Sandwich
• Strawberry Banana and Tropical Mango Smoothies
• Peach, Caramel, and Mocha unsweetened flavor shots
• Some optional muffin, bagel, and cream cheese selections
• Flatbread

My husband will be heartbroken because he was a big fan of the Big N’ Toasted, but I'm relieved to see that Dunkin isn't doing away with my favorite, the toasted almond flavor shot. I've been taking my large toasted almond "light and sweet" for nearly 15 years.
