The bog buck moth is found in only ten colonies in the world and six of those colonies are in Upstate New York. However, this moth is at risk of going extinct.
Brought to New York by way of France, this moth is something of a nuisance but it isn't just the moth that's a nuisance. Apparently, its name is also a problem.
