For a lot of teens, babysitting is their first job and the American Red Cross of the Southern Tier wants to make sure that they have the training and the confidence they need to care for infants, work with children, and deal with potential emergencies.

The American Red Cross of the Southern Tier offers a wonderful Babysitter's Training class for anyone age 11 or older and the nice thing is that the class can be taken from the comfort of own home, and whenever the time is convenient for the babysitter as the class is now offered in an online format.

According to the American Red Cross of the Southern Tier, "The course consists of six interactive modules featuring video, activities, games, and tools babysitters can use to build their knowledge and skills and manage their babysitting business. This course, which includes a final exam at the end, takes about 4 hours to complete. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a printable certificate."

If your place of employment requires that you possess certification, the American Red Cross now offers Digital Certification which means that you can view, print or share your certification anytime you need to without having to carry a printed certificate.

The cost of the online Babysitting Basics course is $40 and if you'd also like to take the Advanced Child Care Training, that course costs $45. Visit the American Red Cross of the Southern Tier's website to learn more about these and other courses.
