UPDATE: Shooting Investigation in Binghamton’s First Ward
City of Binghamton Police are investigating a shooting incident in the First Ward overnight August 8-9 that has sent 23 year old Tyheem Carpenter of Johnson City to the hospital with a life-threatening injury
Authorities were called to Wilson Street just off Clinton Street at 12:42 a.m. August 9 following a dispute in which Carpenter was shot in the head.
Police say no arrests have been made and the incident is not to be a random act.
According to Detectives, the suspect fired a handgun at the victim and fled the scene.
