Binghamton University's standout freshman point guard Sam Sessoms has earned his fifth America East Conference Rookie of the Week honor.  In a weekly press release from the conference this (Monday) afternoon it was revealed that Sessoms earned another weekly accolade.

In games against Columbia and conference foe New Hampshire last week Sessoms averaged 23 points and 4.0 assists.  His 21 points against the New Hampshire Wildcats led Binghamton to a conference opening victory and helped snap a nine-game losing string at the hands of the Wildcats.

Sessoms has scored in double figures in all but two games for the Bearcats this season.  Heading into Wednesday night's game at Stony Brook Sessoms is averaging 17.7 points per game.He is ranked fourth in scoring in America East.  Leading the conference is Vermont's Anthony Lamb who is averaging 21.5 points per game.  In second place is a man the Bearcats will face on Wednesday night...Akwasi Yeboah from Stony Brook with an average of 18.6 points per game.
