Self-Quarantine For Those Who Attended Endwell Church Service
Health officials say a person who was at a church service in the town of Union has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Broome County Health Department is advising those who attended a Mass at the Church of the Holy Family in Endwell to self-quarantine.
According to a public health statement, the person who tested positive was at the 9:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, July 5. Others who were in attendance are urged to self-quarantine until July 19.
People who develop coronavirus symptoms should contact a healthcare provider. Symptoms of COVID-19 include cough, fever and shortness of breath.
Testing is available at Binghamton University's Vestal campus. Appointments may be made by calling (888) 364-3065.
Officials say there have been 60 COVID-19 deaths in Broome County. There have been 821 confirmed cases and there currently are 125 active cases. According to the county website, 636 people have recovered from the novel coronavirus.
