Search for Suspect Continues in Dunkin Donuts Robbery
Police are continuing their investigation and search for a suspect in an armed robbery of the Dunkin Donuts at 3521 Country Club Road in the Town of Union last night. According to a report from the Broome County Sheriff's Office at approximately 9:36 P.M. Monday night a white male armed with an unknown type silver handgun confronted an employee of the store in the office of the business and demanded to have the safe opened.
The suspect then emptied the contents of the safe and fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. The suspect was last seen leaving the business and heading east towards Hooper Road.
Police describe the suspect as a white male, approximately 5'10" to 6'0" with an average build weighing between 170 and 200 pounds. The suspect reportedly was wearing blue jeans, a brown Carhartt jacket with hood, a camouflage baseball hat with a Chevrolet emblem, gray gloves, brown or tan boots and a black scarf around his neck and lower face.
