The National Weather Service says heavy rain could cause some driving hazards but no major flooding October 2.

A cold front will move through the area the afternoon and night.  Thunderstorms are expected along the front with a few possibly strong which could produce gusty winds and heavy rain.

Forecasters say wet soil conditions may allow for some minor flooding issues to develop, such as ponding of water on roadways and other low lying areas. River flooding is not expected.

As always, residents are encouraged to check back for more details in future updates.
