Rotarians Provide Funds to Combat Opioid Addiction in Broome County
Broome County is getting over $100,000 from Rotarians to help fight the opioid epidemic.
Local Rotary organizations have announced a grant to pay for an educational campaign on recognizing addiction, help options and location of drop boxes for unused medications.
A $108,000 global grant is coming from the Rotary Foundation in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and India.
In addition to the online ad campaign, improvements are planned for the Addiction Center of Broome County and some local young people will be sent to a four day conference on drug prevention training in Penn Yan.
