Ross Park Fun and Frights on Southern Tier Close Up

Binghamton's Ross Park Zoo is gearing up for its 20th year of petrifying patrons with the annual Boo at the Zoo haunted weekends.

Speaking on the September 3000th edition of the weekly, local public affairs program, Southern Tier Close Up, the zoo's community relations coordinator, Rachel Davenport "spills the candy-corn' on the wildly popular annual fundraiser, how its grown, the addition of the special Howlween weekends for younger children and even some inside dish on creepy pranks perpetuated by the staff on each other!

Davenport says there is a lot of other exciting news at the zoo lately including the success of the Red Panda Species Survival breeding program, the addition of an endangered Amur Leopard to the collection and a project to re-imagine the old, original zoo entrance on Park Avenue.
