Another day another recall amid fears of salmonella poisoning.

I feel like every other blog I write nowadays is about a product being recalled because of the threat of salmonella poisoning. But if I'm helping to save lives, I will continue to blog about them.

This time around Ritz Cracker products have been recalled across the United States. According to Fox News, Mondelez Global LLC announced over the weekend that Ritz Cracker Sandwiches and Ritz Bits are subject to of voluntary recall because of the whey powder supplier's concern of the potential presence of salmonella. Some of the snacks included in the recall include; Ritz Bits Cheese Cracker Sandwiches in various packaging, Ritz Everything Crackers, Ritz Bacon Cracker Sandwiches with Cheese Filling, and Ritz Cheese Crackers Sandwiches.

I almost bought a pack of these at Wegmans in Johnson City this weekend. If you have purchased any of these recently click here for the full list of recalled Ritz products.

Last week, Swiss Rolls were recalled due to a concern of possible salmonella in its whey powder. It is not known if they both use the same whey supplier. If so, I wonder how many other products will be recalled in the near future.

According to WebMD, the effects of salmonella can range from Fever, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, or even death. If you purchased any of the Ritz Cracker products that are part of the voluntary recall, you may return them to the store you purchased them from for a full refund. And if you ate some of them and you are experiencing any of the symptoms of salmonella, contact your physician.
