There are many tours, shows, sports and events that have been postponed or canceled because of coronavirus concerns. Having this event being canceled may bother me more than any other.

The second annual "Night to Shine" event was to be held at the Chenango Valley High School. It's a prom for teens and adults who have special needs and an experience that everyone involved will never forget.

My daughter, Tara was very excited to be a part of it because she was part of the Red Carpet & Dance Floor Team. She was going to greet the guests on the red carpet and dance with them throughout the night.

Its original date was February 7th but was postponed because of the heavy snow and poor traveling conditions. It was rescheduled for March 28th from 5 to 8 p.m.

As they monitored the coronavirus information that was available, they have decided that the 350 special guests and volunteer's safety and health are their primary concerns. It is with a heavy heart that they've announced that they are canceling the Night to Shine 2020 event.

They wish to thank the volunteers, vendors and all that were involved in this wonderful event. NIght to Shine to sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and if you would like to know more about this life-changing event, go here.

I'm sure they'll try again next year and I know that my daughter will be one of the first to volunteer her time. We hope that you'll have a chance to be a part of this and they promise that you'll never forget it.
