A Port Crane man is under a 17-count indictment in connection with a hit-and-run crash in which a 16-year-old girl was killed while riding a bicycle on the shoulder of Route 369 in the Town of Fenton June 22.

44-year-old Michael Gincerowski, who had several previous drunk driving arrests prior to the crash that killed Connie Mazzarese, pleaded not guilty during arraignment in Broome County Court August 9.

In addition to drunk driving, the indictment charges Gincerowski with seven felony counts of vehicular manslaughter, manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

Gincerowski is being held in the Broome County Jail on $20,000 bail.

His next court appearance is scheduled for the end of this month with a trial possible in November.
