Person in Custody in Death of Tioga County Infant Girl

Authorities are investigating the death of a young child in Tioga County.

According to New York State Police, an eight-month-old girl died in the Town of Tioga.

A statement issued Sunday indicated one person had been taken into custody as a result of the investigation.

More information about the infant's death is to be released Monday.
