NYS Junior Drivers Now Face Penalty For Texting While Driving
I remember the first time I saw someone texting while driving, when texting first became popular. I was so outraged at the thought that someone would be typing while operating a vehicle. It has never made any sense to me. What could really be that important that you are willing to risk your life in order to read or send a text message?
I'm not saying I have never been guilty of looking at a text while behind the wheel. But I do know that there's been far too many deaths and injuries due to texting while driving and I am happy that NYS is slowly starting to do something about it. Juniors drivers will now face a 60 day suspension of their license when caught texting while driving.
