National Preparedness Month – Preparing Your Family for Potential Disaster

National Preparedness Month is recognized each and every September with the simple mission -  to promote family and community disaster planning not just for the immediate days ahead, but throughout the entire year.

As various parts of our country continue to respond to a variety of disasters from pandemic to fires, floods, and even hurricanes, we thought this would be a good time to take a look at what you and your family should do and have ready in case disaster strikes and you find yourself in a less than ideal situation.

The theme of 2020'a National Preparedness is “Disasters Don’t Wait. Make Your Plan Today” and there are a couple of things that you can do right now to prepare ahead in the event a disaster strikes our community.
