Local food pantries have been getting some help meeting the extraordinary demand for services during the COVID-19 pandemic through Music for the Mission and the group is looking to help even more programs.

Food pantries like the Open Door Mission in Owego have been awarded $1,000 grants and the philanthropic group founded in 2009 by Joe Stanley of Stanley Law in Syracuse says it has more funds available.

Local non-profit organizations in the Southern Tier and Central New York that are dedicated to helping the homeless and hungry are encouraged to apply for emergency grant money through Music for the Mission.
