It seems as if the data breaches have been soaring in recent weeks. The latest is MoviePass. The subscription-based movie ticket company has confirmed that a security issue may have exposed customers' records, according to WKBW.

MoviePass has said that there was a "security lapse" and its system was immediately secured.

The breach is believed to affect tens of thousands of customers.

If you're not familiar with MoviePass, it was very popular two years ago when people found it to be a great deal on watching movies in theaters. Customers are issued cards that act like debit cards, along with an app. MoviePass had to stop because of money trouble and other issues with its business but has since been back up and running.

A security researcher at SpiderSilk, a cybersecurity firm in Dubai, discovered the breach. There were million of entries discovered, including sensitive data with MoviePass credit card numbers.

MoviePass has said it will continue to disclose information about the breach.
