Mother nature and baseball are not getting along in the first couple of weeks of the Eastern League season.  On Friday night the Rumple Ponies postponed their scheduled home game versus Erie due to the threat of steady to heavy rain.  The National Weather Service forecast called for an 80 percent chance of rain or thunderstorms with up to one half inch of rain possible.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday (tomorrow) beginning at 1:05 P.M. (air at 12:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Fans holding tickets for Friday's postponed game can redeem them for tickets of equal or lesser value for any upcoming home game except July 4.

In a statement from the Rumble Ponies the magnetic schedule giveaway scheduled for Friday will be moved to a future, to be announced, home game.  With Friday's postponement Binghamton has had four weather-related postponements in the first eight days of the season.
