Broome County is allocating up to $25,000 in Mini-Grant funding to community agencies for programs to educate the public about opioid overdoses.

The funds are available to non-profit groups, community agencies, municipalities and schools. Officials with the Broome County Health Department, Opioid Overdose Prevention Council and the County Executive said the money will help the groups enhance or establish opioid awareness-related activities in Broome.

Applications can be found at www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york/broome-county.  Successful applications will be awarded a contract until December 31 of this year dependent on the performance of the project.
