People may not get Pete Davidson and Kate Beckinsale's connection, but the rumored couple are said to be "really happy" together, according to People.

A source close to the actress told the outlet, the actress and Saturday Night Live star share "really similar senses of humor." Davidson, 25, keeps Beckinsale laughing, the insider alleged.

"She's very happy with Pete," the source said. "They have really similar senses of humor and she's always laughing with him."

Davidson addressed the rumored romance during an appearance on Weekend Update with Colin Jost and Michael Che. He spoke specifically about the 20-year age gap between them, telling the public that it doesn't bother them. Davidson called it a "crazy fascination," before naming other men dating women significantly far from their own age.

"Apparently people have a crazy fascination with our age difference," he said on the show. "But it doesn't really bother us. But then again, I'm new to this."

The pair have been spotted together on several occasions in recent months. They reportedly met for the first time at a Golden Globes afterparty in January and hit it off. On March 3, the apparent couple was spotted kissing during a New York Rangers game at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The photos — which showed Antoni Porowski from Queer Eye seemingly reacting in shock or disgust — turned into memes, which Beckinsale eventually commented on.

"Antoni is gay, if that helps clarify at all #queereye," she commented on one meme of the photo.

Davidson isn't the first younger man Beckinsale's been linked to. She previously dated Matt Rife, who recently commented on her new relationship. He told TMZ he wouldn't date her again, urging Davidson to "run."
