Village of Johnson City Police say they want to check on the welfare of a Binghamton man following the discovery of an abandoned vehicle near Boland Park.

Authorities say a citizen reported a black vehicle left parked near the riverbank on Boland Drive on March 15.

The vehicle is registered to 36-year-old Nicholas A. Whitton.

Police say they have not been able to locate Whitton, even after enlisting the assistance of a drone from the Broome County Sheriff's Office and Office of Emergency Services.

Whitton was last seen between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Sunday, March 14 in the vicinity of the Two Rivers Church on Chrisfield Drive, Johnson City.

Witton is white with short-cropped brown hair, standing about 5' 6" tall with blue eyes and slim build, weighing 125 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a red and white plaid shirt and khaki pants.
