Johnson City officials say there has been a water main break on Marian Drive and Christina Drive, just off Reynolds Road, prompting a boil water advisory.

The break was discovered at around 6 a.m. October 1.

The Department of Public Services says the break left some areas of the water system void of water, triggering the order for residents in the affected areas to boil their water prior to consumption:

 

· Deyo Hill Road (between Reynolds Road and the Dickinson Town Line

*  Reynolds Road - Marian to East Maine Road

· Columbia Drive

· David Drive

· Eric Drive

· Eric Court

· Enid Place

· Tamara Lane

· Pamala Drive

· Weymouth Lane

· Marlayne Drive

· Christina Drive

· Marian Drive

· Anna Maria Drive

· Penna Road

· San Marco Drive

· Oakview Drive

· Rose Lane

· Lee Circle

· Nadine Way

· Deborah Drive

Residents should bring all water to a boil and let it boil for one minute. Let it cool before using or use bottle water.

Boiled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation until further notice.  Bathing is okay, but avoid swallowing water.

Customers will be notified when they no longer need to boil the water to kill bacteria and other organisms that could have gotten into the supply.
