The Broome County Sheriff's Road Patrol says that it is actively responding to an accident involving an overturned milk truck near Exit 83 on Route 17 East in Deposit.

Initial reports suggest that the injuries sustained in the incident are non-life-threatening. Emergency crews are presently on-site, working to extricate the driver from the vehicle and render necessary medical aid.

In response to the accident, the right lane of Route 17 East will remain closed for several hours to facilitate the ongoing response efforts.

A coordinated effort is underway, with the NYS Police, Windsor Fire, Deposit Fire, Eastern Broome Ambulance, and NYSDOT all mobilized and present at the scene to provide support and assistance.
