I've been in Binghamton for about six months now, and for the most part it's been fantastic. But, there are definitely a few things I'd like to see change in the area.

First and foremost, the awkward empty space that used to be occupied by Dos Rios and the Colonial. It's tougher to get more squarely in the middle of downtown Binghamton than their Court Street location, but they've been closed since before I even moved to town. It's such a great piece of real estate it's a shame that it's gone unused for almost a year.

And I'd like to see some popular chain restaurants come to the area like Chick-fil-A, Dairy Queen and maybe even a Waffle House. But more than anything, I want Binghamton to get an aquarium. I love aquariums and aquatic animals. If an aquarium opened in Binghamton, I might refuse to come to work until I was allowed to do every single show from the penguin exhibit. I'd also settle for broadcasting from the otter or sea lion exhibits if I have no other choice.

The point is, Binghamton is great as is but there's plenty of unused real estate that could be turned into something really cool for the whole community to enjoy. And there's a few other things that we could work on in 2023. So without further ado, here's 25 New Year's Resolutions for Binghamton, New York.
