This wasn't the first shooting in the area of the Northside Deli. A man was wounded in the arm outside the business on August 2, 2022.

38-year-old Carheem Felton of Binghamton pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in that case. He was sentenced to nine years in prison last April under a plea deal with prosecutors.

This story was updated after police announced the man who had been wounded died of his injuries.
