New Store May Open at Former Binghamton Rite Aid Site
A small commercial complex on Binghamton's South Side has new owners and it may soon be home to a new store.
The property at 197 Conklin Avenue lost a major tenant when a Rite Aid store closed in July 2024.
The multi-parcel site recently was acquired by two Broome County men for about $1.1 million.
The Relief Pitcher, Colours Inc. and Tioga State Bank now occupy portions of the property. Bob Carr Printing 2.0 is located in space on a lower level of the main building which faces Hall Street.

Michael Mastro, a principal in an LLC that purchased the property, said the new owners have been working to make improvements. Some painting and electrical work have been done in the last few weeks.
Mastro said efforts are underway to find a new tenant for the vacant space that had been used by the Rite Aid store. He said there have been discussions with Dollar Tree about opening a store there.
The existing businesses are expected to remain at the Conklin Avenue property.
