Saturday, December 3, another news release announced the launch of a Frequently Asked Questions webpage for the public to reference during the progression of discussions.

Officials say "We will use this space to answer questions as they arise, which will updated with the most recent information."

According to SUNY Broome, The first most-frequently-asked-question on the BCC Q&A website is: “Is there a proposal to merge SUNY Broome with Binghamton University?” to which the college officials say “No” and explain the early talks are about exploring further partnerships to possibly integrate some operations with B.U.”

There are already some partnerships in place. For example, right now, B.C.C. students can take some courses with their credits transferred to four-year programs at B.U. and have a fast-track for transfers to the University.

Another question making the list was concerning admissions and whether the process would become more competitive.  According to the FAQ site, there are no plans to change SUNY Broome from being an "Open Access Institution." The site also says the SUNY Broome tuition rates would remain fully separate from that at Binghamton University.

The site also says, as currently proposed, SUNY Broome and B.U. would keep separate athletics programs, mascots and school colors.

Officials also maintain that all of the BCC campus facilities, classrooms, student service and Human Resource operations would "remain as they are today."

The Q & A site reiterates that the talks are in the preliminary stages.  The site says "The earliest that some integration might take place would be spring of 2023, but likely later."
