Months later, the reason that Dos Rios and The Colonial closed down is pretty common knowledge. As reported by WNBF's Bob Joseph, the locations shut down while members of the ownership group fought felony sexual assault charges, though they cited financial issues as the reason for the closure. Since then, both the popular restaurants have been shuttered, with Dos Rios being placed for sale in September.

The real estate location is about as prime as it gets in the area. It's right in the heart of downtown Binghamton, surrounded by businesses and in the same area which Binghamton University students tend to frequent on chaotic weekend nights. Or a yoga studio for people that want a convenient place to work up a sweat after work. Or maybe something even more fun like an indoor glow in the dark mini-golf course or arcade.

Whatever it ends up becoming, the real estate is simply too valuable to allow it to go unused for as long as it has been already. So here's 25 ideas for what could take over that space in downtown Binghamton.
