A recent public health alert has been issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service concerning Wegmans frozen chicken nuggets sold in New York.

It was discovered that there may be some bone fragments in the packages of frozen, fully cooked Wegmans breaded chicken breast nuggets.

This warning is different from a normal recall because the product is not being sold anymore. The product in the health alert is the 46-ounce plastic package labeled as “Wegmans Family Pack Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast with Rib Meat,” with a best-if-used-by date of August 26, 2025.

After getting complaints from customers about finding bone fragments in the chicken nuggets, the Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert.
