Have you ever scrolled through TikTok and seen the posts where people are unhappy with their jobs? A study by resume.io took a look at 50,000 TikTok posts to find the cities in America with the most dissatisfied workers. Not surprising (at least to me), New York State is showing the misery vibes.

#HateMyJob is about that frustration of feeling stuck in a boring, soul-sucking job. #Burnout reveals the harsh reality of being constantly stressed and having no work-life balance.

#WorkSucks is when we're dealing with unproductive meetings or annoying coworkers? #BadBoss has to with people's run-ins with less-than-stellar management. Finally, #ToxicWorkplace shines a light on the workplaces with serious issues like favoritism or negativity.

I know that I'm fortunate that I don't run into this as a part of my job, I feel like I get paid to play. However, I know many others that run into these problems every working day. Just look on social media and you'll see it too.

New Yorkers, Where You At?

So, what New York cities made the cut for having the most unhappy workers? Well, according to the TikTok study, Rochester is up there with high stress, low pay, and a call for better management. Buffalo is gritty but the lack of growth opportunities is slowing it down.

Syracuse sees its share of burnout in healthcare and education but it is blamed on the cold weather and demanding bosses. New York City (the city that never sleeps), has workers feeling the pressure of never-ending schedules even in so-called glamorous jobs.

Yonkers is close to the Empire State but comes up short when it comes to pay and perks, leaving the workers on the short end of the stick.
