Parenting in the digital age is a whole new ball game, right? With social media ruling our world, it's no surprise that parents all over the place are showing off their adorable kids online. But should we be hitting that pause button?
Here's is how parents in our state of New York are dealing with social media when it comes to sharing stuff about their kids.

Capture the Moment: How Much Are NY Parents Sharing?

Believe it or not, more than 3 out of 5 parents in New York (that's 61%) are posting pictures of their kids on social media. And when it comes to the kids under 10, it's a  64% of parents proudly showing off their kids.
Nearly half of the parents (that's 49%) are all about posting those adorable faces on social media. And some parents are keeping it real by sharing those diaper moments (yep, that's 1 in 10 of them) which I think it kind of weird.

Sharing Concerns: What's on the Minds of NY Parents?

New York parents are definitely keeping privacy in mind. More than 4 out of 5 parents (that's 81%) shared their concerns about their kids' privacy online. Worries about online predators, unauthorized use of images, and safety and security risks are definitely on top of their minds.
And what about "sharenting"? Nearly 60% of New York parents are feeling concern about overdoing it with their online share fests. But they are not just concerned they say they're going to do something about it starting next year.

What's the Big Picture for NY Parents?

So, what's the real deal for New York parents when it comes to sharing their kids' lives online? Well, it's a balancing act for sure. As technology expert Christian de Looper puts it, it's all about making an informed choice when it comes to posting online.
