Revamping Youth Services in New York

You know those times when you feel like the world is a little crazy and our youth could use some help? The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center has heard about these concerns and started the Collaborating for Youth and Public Safety Initiative (CYPSI) They are joining forces with six states including New York to improve our youth services.

Adolescents all over the nation are dealing with mental health issues, school stresses, and community safety worries. The public systems and service providers are struggling to keep up, with gaps in services, and staffing problems. It’s tough figuring out the right solutions without a solid plan in place.

Governor Says: Let’s Make New York Safer

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is getting New Mexico on board with CYPSI to tackle challenges like service gaps, and rising behavioral health problems among teens. By getting together with other states, they want to come up with new ways to keep our communities safe, while helping our youth advance into  healthy adults.
