Just Over Two Hours From the Southern Tier Is the Most Magical Christmas Village You’ll Ever See
There’s a moment on the drive to Koziar’s Christmas Village that feels almost unreal. You’re winding through quiet countryside, nothing but darkness around you, and then you crest that last hill on the unlit road. Suddenly, an entire valley appears below, glowing with more than one million Christmas lights. It feels like driving straight into a fairy tale... and it is worth every second of the two and a half hour trip from Binghamton.
A Christmas Village the World Has Fallen in Love With
Named “Best Outdoor Display in the World” by Display Magazine and featured on HGTV, CNN Travel, and Good Morning America, Koziar’s Christmas Village has captured the hearts of visitors from across the globe. Families keep coming back year after year, many for three or four generations, because this place doesn’t just shine. It radiates.
How One Family’s Tradition Sparked a Christmas Legend
It all began in 1948 when William M. Koziar decorated his home and farm to delight his wife, Grace, and their four children. Neighbors fell in love with the glowing scene and affectionately began calling it “The Christmas House.” As more people stopped to admire the lights, Mr. Koziar expanded the display year after year, lighting up the lake, walkways, barns, fences, and every tree in sight. Eventually, by popular demand, the family opened the property so people could step right into the wonder.

Generations Later, the Magic Continues to Grow
Today, the display is still owned and lovingly operated by the Koziar family, now in their third and fourth generations. What began as a simple act of joy has grown into a regional and national phenomenon, drawing visitors who want to feel part of something timeless. Last year, they even expanded their parking areas to make sure guests can get off the road and into the magic faster.
An Unforgettable Season of Light and Joy
The 2025 season will be especially meaningful as Koziar’s celebrates its 78th year, with celebrations stretching through Saturday, January 3, 2026. And yes, they’re open on every major holiday, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Night.
A Christmas Experience That Feels Straight From a Storybook
Once you step inside, you’ll wander through glowing paths and cozy buildings filled with decorated trees, baked treats, handcrafted gifts, a charming train display, and Santa himself waiting to greet families. Every corner feels alive with nostalgia, warmth, and that perfect old-fashioned Christmas magic you didn’t realize you’d been craving.

How to Find the Magic for Yourself
You’ll find Koziar’s Christmas Village at 782 Christmas Village Road in Bernville, Pennsylvania, and it’s open through January 3, 2026. If your heart’s been needing a little wonder, a little glow, a little escape into something truly magical, this is one of those rare places that wraps you up in its light and stays with you long after you’re back home.
