Apalachin’s Donoli’s Restaurant Will Close Its Doors October 3
There are some restaurants where you know exactly what you're ordering before you even sit down. For me, that was Donoli’s Restaurant in Apalachin.
The first time I went to Donoli’s was for a meeting, and every single person at the table insisted I order the prime rib. I am glad I listened because it was, without question, the best prime rib I have ever had.
Now, there is only a little time left to order it again.
Donoli’s Restaurant in Apalachin Is Closing October 3
In a message shared with the community, Donoli’s Restaurant and Banquets announced it will close its doors on Saturday, October 3.
The restaurant is located at 6510 State Route 434 in Apalachin and has been a familiar place for meals, gatherings, and special occasions for many people in the Southern Tier.
Amber and Kris Kasmarcik shared that the decision was difficult, but that their family believes now is the right time.
Donoli’s Restaurant Has Served the Southern Tier for 35 Years
For 35 years, Donoli’s Restaurant and Banquets has been a familiar stop along Route 434 in Apalachin.
Scott and Linda Fargnoli opened Donoli’s with a grand opening in January 1990, and it became a go-to place for dinners, business meetings, celebrations, and special events.
The restaurant was sold to its current owners in early 2025.

A Thank You to Donoli’s Customers and Staff
In their closure announcement, Amber and Kris thanked the guests who came through the doors, the employees who worked alongside them, and the people who supported Donoli’s during their time in Apalachin.
They also thanked the Fargnoli family for giving them the opportunity to be part of Donoli’s.

The message was heartfelt and clear: they tried hard to keep things going, but are looking ahead to spending more time with their family.
