A resilient Southern Tier family is facing a tough battle against liver cancer
A Southern Tier family is facing a tough battle against liver cancer and here is how you can help them.
Mike Masters, one of the four boys of Diane and Tom Masters, is reaching out and asking for your support in their time of need. He hopes that you will join him and help his mom, who you know as a member of the staff at Jane’s Diner in Conklin.
Diane Masters is the awesome lady who's been dishing out smiles along with bacon and eggs at Jane's Diner for almost two decades. She's facing a tough battle with cancer and could use all the help she could get.
On June 21st, 2024, Diane found out she had hepatocellular carcinoma, which leaves her ineligible for a liver transplant. The potential treatments ahead are filled with uncertainties and can make the road to recovery a challenging one for the whole family.
Her family is known for always helping others, but they find themselves in a position where they need assistance themselves. Struggling with medical bills, lost wages, and the expenses of going back and forth to NYC for appointments, they are in need of a helping hand.
With a heart full of hope, Mike is reaching out to friends, family, and strangers alike to come together and support his mom in her fight against cancer. As the treatment progresses, the side effects are taking a toll on Diane.
Every dollar raised goes directly towards easing the financial strain which helps her focus on getting better. The generosity shown by the community has been overwhelming and is helping to bring the family closer to their fundraising goal
From sharing her story to making a donation, every act of kindness counts in helping Mike's mom overcome this battle. Let's spread the word, give our support, and stand with the Masters family as they get through this challenging journey.
If you’re able to help support this family, there is a GoFundMe that you can donate to here.
