Renowned Yoga Therapist James Bae Returns to Upstate New York
If you're looking to unwind and recharge your mind and body in a serene and spiritual way, I have some good news for you. James Bae, the renowned yoga therapist and educator, is coming back to Thekchen Choling Syracuse for an big-time weekend retreat on August 23rd-25th.
The retreat is named "Buddhist Healing Practices and this is an Introduction to Tummo" and it will focus on using an evidence-based approach to mind-body and self-care practices. Bae will be teaching Tummo meditation, which taps into the subtle body energies to help you get in touch with your innate wisdom.
"Tummo can lead to a deeper understanding of emptiness," says Bae. It combines special breathing and visualization techniques and this is the most direct way to experience your deepest inner nature.
They combine meditation, mantra and breathwork, and explore the roots of subtle healing. It is based on the yogic and meditation methods of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition
The retreat is open to all adults, regardless of age, faith background, or physical ability. Even healthcare professionals are welcome to try "Tummo." Limited onsite lodging is also available for out-of-towners. The retreat will be held at Thekchen Choling Syracuse temple located at 109 East Ave.in Minoa.
