This week, the Festival of Lights is offering a special treat for attendees: free trolley rides through the lights show for the next three nights with paid admission.

From Tuesday, December 26 through Thursday, December 28, visitors to Broome County Festival of Lights at Otsiningo Park can take a magical trolley ride through the twinkling lights, sponsored by Broome County.

The trolley rides will run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the next three nights with the Festival of Lights itself open from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. also all three nights. The trolley rides are included with the price of admission and are available to anyone who wishes to take a ride.

For those interested in taking advantage of this unique experience, parking is available in the West parking lot along the highway. Visitors are asked to line up near the white tent to catch their ride on the trolley.

In addition to the trolley rides, the Festival of Lights also offers a drive-thru experience for those who prefer to stay in the comfort of their own vehicle.

After the trolley rides of the next three nights, the Festival of Lights will culminate with a grand New Year's Eve Fireworks Show, which is set to take place at 7:00 p.m. on December 31. This display is free and open to everyone.

The Broome County Festival of Lights is a fundraiser for many Southern Tier area community organizations. Benefactors have included the Maine Endwell Class of 2024 After Prom, Literacy Volunteers, Chenango Valley Nursery School, African Road Elementary PTA, and several more. Admission is $25 per vehicle and helps to support local community organizations.
