Many regions of the country are proud of their community for various reasons. For The Greater Binghamton area, we're proud of our history with the beginnings of IBM, Endicott Shoe, Singer Link, famous people like Rod Serling, and of course our delicacy, spiedies to name a few.

Speaking of food, the website Ranker published an article listing meals that best represent each state in the country. There are some interesting meals listed for the various states in the country. Many make sense. For example, for Maryland, it's crab feat with Old Bay seasoning. That sounds right. In Georgia, it's pecan pie, biscuits, and gravy.

Pennsylvania is divided into two sections of the state. For the western half of the state, Ranker says the choice is Pierogis, Kielbasa, and sauerkraut. For the eastern half of the Keystone State, it's cheesesteak, a big soft pretzel, and water ice.

Now, how about New York State? Ranker has this to say -

New York’s a big state. Just to cover all your bases, take a scoop of a garbage plate, cover it with buffalo sauce, then dump it on a bagel. - Ranker.com

Well, I suppose that kind of makes sense, if you want to lump in a few of the regional favorites, but that's not fair. I don't think you can favor just one of the specialties throughout our state, but we can break it down into certain regions. Here's what I say:
