Celebrating 150 Years Of Fun At The Broome County Fair
It's summertime (well, almost), and that means fairs, carnivals, street festivals, etc. One of those annual events is the Broome County Fair, held each year at the fairgrounds on Main Street in Whitney Point.
In addition to the many events happening at this year's fair, which by the way is celebrating its 150th year, officials of the fair committee just announced that Broome County residents and creative media team, Bill and Joanne Rogers, have written and produced the official song of the 150th Broome County Fair as a tribute to the region they love. Listen to the song below:
The Broome County Fair is woven into the cultural fabric of our region and our family. We raised 9 children here, producing this song is not just about music, it’s about community, farming, family memories, and civic duty. We’re thrilled to celebrate the people, the land, and the spirit of this incredible 150-year legacy. - Bill Rogers

According to fair officials, some of the events at this year's 150th celebration will include the Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean featuring a high-wire show staged on a pirate ship set 30 feet in the air, Aaron Radatz, Las Vegas headliner and master illusionist, a midway full of fun rides, agricultural showcases, 4H, Tractor Pulls, and an authentic rodeo experience.
