Ship at the Buffalo Naval Park is Feet Away From Being Underwater

The City of Buffalo gets a lot of jokes about its cold and snow from outsiders (many of them who have never even been here), but if you live in Buffalo, then you know just how special it is; especially during the spring and summer.

Summertime in Buffalo features many attractions by the waterfront. One of the most popular is visiting the Buffalo Naval Park at Canalside.

Unfortunately, the most popular ship at the park is in trouble.

According to Michael Schwartz of WKBW, the USS The Sullivans is tilted towards the shore and part of its deck is just a few feet away from being underwater.

There‘s no power there.

The ship is stable, meaning it isn’t sinking any further at the moment, but it looks dangerously close to the waterline.

Hopefully, they can get the ship back to its normal position. That’s quite the sight to behold and I know how beloved the USS The Sullivans is to this region.
