Ithaca Attorney Running for NYS Supreme Court

A Tompkins County attorney has her sights set on the New York State Supreme Court.

Ithaca lawyer Elizbeth Aherne recently announced she was running for the Sixth Judicial District.

There are two seats that are up for election in 2021.  One seat is vacant due to Judge Robert Mulvey’s retirement and the second opening comes at the end of Judge Molly Fitzgerald’s term in 2021.

The 47-year-old Ahearn has been operating in her own private law practice in Ithaca for the past 12 years. She is a Republican.

The Sixth Judicial District includes all of Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison, Otsego, Schuyler, Tioga and Tompkins Counties.
