Are you noticing green, yellow or red pieces of paper hung in windows around the capital region? Well, this simple piece of paper can let neighbors know how the elderly and vulnerable are doing during the coronavirus pandemic.

It's a pretty basic concept that's been sweeping social media all over the country. If the elderly or vulnerable can't leave their house and are doing okay they hang a green piece of paper in the window letting everyone know they are doing well. If they need some assistance like items from the grocery store or a prescription picked up they hang a yellow one and obviously red signifies they need immediate help.

Would it be easier to just give them a call and ask how they are doing? Probably, but people don't always know their neighbors these days and this is a quick and easy visual reference that might help out those in need. Plus, as an added bonus you might make a new friend in a neighbor you never knew.
