Authorities say 21-year-old Jakob Mueller was found walking on Warren Street in Tully by New York State Police Saturday afternoon and turned over to the Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities tried to stop Meuller for speeding on Route 41 in the Town of Scott January 1st, but he sped off, traveling through Homer into Cayuga and Onondaga Counties before the vehicle was located in Madison County.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say Mueller is charged with obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, failing to comply with police, crossing hazardous markings, moving from a lane unsafely, throwing refuse on a highway, speeding and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

He was sent to the Cortland County Jail on $1,500 bail and several charges are still pending in the Town of Scott, Cayuga County and Madison County.
