On the heels of the holidays, there's another reason to celebrate: It’s cookie time!

The 2020 Girl Scout Cookie season began January 7 and runs through March 29.

The Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways have launched the 103rd season with the introduction of a new cookie. In addition to the favorite Thin Mints and Do-si-dos, Lemon-Ups are available this year from Scouts in the region for $5 per box.

The new crispy lemon cookies are baked with eight phrases that are inspired by Girl Scout entrepreneurs like “I am a go-getter” and “I am an innovator.”

The cookie packages also have a refreshed design with updated images of current Girl Scouts taking part in a variety of activities from camping to exploring space and robots.

The Girl Scouts are also conducting their biannual Sweet Support project that allows customers who don’t want to buy cookies for themselves to donate treats to charity.  This time, the Sweet Support program benefits Meals on Wheels. Last year, the program benefited the Rescue Mission Alliance which was gifted 15,324 boxes of cookies.
