Today, during a press conference, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo updated the list of must quarantine states. If a state is on the list, New Yorkers who travel to those states must quarantine for 14 days upon return to the Empire State. Visitors to New York from those states must also quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.

Today, September 8th, the governor removed Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands from the list. During that same press conference, Cuomo announced that four states were being added to the list, some for the second time.

The four states added today include Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, and West Virginia.

The list is comprised of any state that has a positive test rate for covid-19 higher than 10 per 100,000 residents or any state that has 10% or higher positivity rate over a 7-Day average.

As it stands today here is the list of quarantine States regarding New York:

Alaska
Alabama
Arkansas

Delaware
Florida

Guam

This may cause major issues for some New Yorkers that may have traveled to one of the four states that were added today over the holiday weekend. When they left for vacation these states weren't on the list, but now they are.
