Earlier this year, many retailers were forced to close for several months and in an attempt to bounce back from massive revenue loss, when they were allowed to open their doors again, stores came out of the gate with big holiday sales well before we stepped into the holiday shopping season.

I’ll admit that I've already done all of my Christmas shopping because I just don’t know what’s going to happen in the next few weeks. I don’t know what will stay open and what will close and don't want to find myself in a situation where I don't have the things that I want to gift my husband and son.

These are just little reminders of ways that we tend to get sucked into paying more money than we need to and these days, we all need to be aware of what we're spending.
