Investigators reportedly don't believe foul play was involved in the death of a person whose body was found on Binghamton's West Side.

A man called police Sunday afternoon after he spotted the body as he walked along the bank of the Susquehanna River.

The body was located just east of Lourdes Hospital between Avon Road and Laurel Avenue.

According to WBNG, police suspect no foul play in the case. Detectives have not said whether the body was that of a man or a woman.

Investigators have not publicly said how long they believe the body had been in that spot before it was found.
