Fire Damages Building Housing Endwell Businesses
Firefighters from four departments were called to battle a blaze in a commercial structure in Endwell.
The fire at 3000 Wayne Street was reported just after 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Assistant fire chief Matt Grafton said Endwell firefighters were assisted by units from Endicott, Union Center and Vestal.
Grafton said a person who worked in the building discovered a smoke condition and reported the fire.
The blaze caused some damage to a small room in a common area of the building. Signs indicate the building houses several businesses, including Donson Transportation Services and a construction company.
Grafton said no injuries were reported. He said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
Firefighters were on the scene for nearly four hours.
