Fire at West Side, Binghamton Home to be Investigated

The Binghamton Fire Marshall is looking into the circumstance surrounding the cause of a blaze at a single family home on Schubert Street on the West Side that was reported at around 6:30 a.m. March 5.

Fire officials say a family of 11 lived in the home and reportedly had been in the process of being evicted.

There was no one home at the time the fire broke out.

Firefighters were still on the scene over an hour later looking for fire extension in the walls of the home on Schubert Street between Mozart and Beethoven Street.

There were no injuries.
